It makes me feel good to know that I’m reaching out to those people who matter most to me. Because I have such a high number of fans on Twitter, I can also share Twitter’s analytics in order to learn more about my fans and why they’re visiting my page. I also want to make sure that I’m promoting my links on Google+ as well because I’m aware that many businesses that are listed on Google do not get much traffic. My reasoning for this is because it costs them less to list me on Google+ than it would cost for me to run AdWords campaigns.
In addition to my Google+ page and my twitter account, I also promote my links through Yahoo searches and Bing searches. These searches bring me tons of visitors and I’m able to track what keywords are bringing me traffic. The goal of local search engines optimization is to get my site ranked higher so that when someone types in a local search, my site pops up. My goal is to get my site to rank higher so that when someone searches for a keyword that I have an advertisement for.
While social media marketing can be very beneficial to your local business, local SEO can provide you with even more traffic.
